The Brady Bunch Then and Now

I grew up when the Brady Bunch Television Show was popular.  I often wonder what they look like in the 21st Century.

I would love for you to comment on who your favorite  character was.  I was a huge fan of Marsha (Maureen McCormick).

Main article: Characters of The Brady Bunch

The regular cast appeared in an opening title sequence in which video head shots were arranged in a three-by-three grid, with each cast member appearing to look at the other cast members. In a 2010 issue of TV Guide, the show’s opening title sequence ranked #8 on a list of TV’s top 10 credits sequences, as selected by readers.[1]

Although many actors who become type-cast into the roles they played on a particular series resent this, the cast of The Brady Bunch express a contrary attitude. On a TV Landdocumentary, the actors revealed that they all remain close friends, and most have remained in regular contact with one another. On several episodes of Christopher Knight’s reality show series, My Fair BradyFlorence Henderson made guest appearances, and gave advice on Knight’s ongoing relationship issues. Knight also invited Barry WilliamsSusan Olsen, and Mike Lookinland to a wedding party, during which most of his time was spent hanging out with them, away from the party. He said it was important his betrothed accept that his Brady Bunchfriends are an important part of his life.

Although I was very young – Cindy’s age – I just knew I wanted to have an Alice in my life. The others were fun to watch but Alice took care of things!!!

Oh, I loved the Brady Bunch! I used to make believe they were my family but don’t know it..hehehe. Funny what you can tell yourself if you want a family like that. Thanks for posting the pics on how they look now. It’s always so interesting to see what happened to all these movie stars. Great post hon! :)

I always liked Bobby, I thought Greg was too bossy and Peter sorta seemed like a pain in the butt. About 15 years ago, I married a man with three sons and I have three daughters so we really tried to pull off the Brady Bunch in real life. Unfortunately, we didn’t have an Alice..that could have made a difference. We failed miserably at pulling it off and divorced after two years. I guess sometimes things work out and sometimes they don’t!

Yes- I grew up with the Brady bunch also—- I loved the whole tv crew, but liked the way “Alice alway intervened with some of the kids’s problems”—like “the middle child ”

  15. The Brady Bunch was one of those TV shows from the 70s that reflected American culture…may have been optimistic and corny, but it showed the hopeful side of the changes we were going through back then. Thanks so much for posting this!
