Your Disease Needs Healing: Lesson 2
My friend Catherine has brought this to my attention: ”Studies find that stress is not caused by what happens to us. Stress is caused by what we believe about what happens to us.” Foresight http://www.foresightyourpsychic.com/
The Definition of Stress:
Stress is the body’s reaction to a change that requires a physical, mental or emotional adjustment or response.
Stress can come from any situation or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, nervous, or anxious.
Stress is caused by an existing stress-causing factor or “stressor.”
Time magazine’s June 6, 1983 cover story called stress “The Epidemic of the Eighties” and referred to it as our leading health problem; there can be little doubt that the situation has progressively worsened since then. Numerous surveys confirm that adult Americans perceive they are under much more stress than a decade or two ago. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,950883,00.html
Lesson 2: Stress Related Dis-eases
I have been diagnosed with Cystic Nodules.
After five months of treatments with no results.
This past week I developed a common cold, which turned into the flu, which turned into what I was diagnosed with Sinusitis.
(Acute sinusitis; Sinus infection; Sinusitis - acute; Sinusitis - chronic; Rhinosinusitis)
Sinusitis refers to inflammation of the sinuses that occurs with a viral, bacterial, or fungal infection.
Thus, I was given AMOXICILLIN in 875 mg Tablets to take twice a day for 10 days.
The sinuses are air-filled spaces in the skull (behind the forehead, nasal bones, cheeks, and eyes) that are lined with mucus membranes. Healthy sinuses contain no bacteria or other germs. Usually, mucus is able to drain out and air is able to circulate.
When the sinus openings become blocked or too much mucus builds up, bacteria and other germs can grow more easily.
Sinusitis can occur from one of these conditions:
- Small hairs (cilia) in the sinuses, which help move mucus out, do not work properly due to some medical conditions.
- Colds and allergies may cause too much mucus to be made or block the opening of the sinuses.
- A deviated nasal septum, nasal bone spur, or nasal polyps may block the opening of the sinuses.
Now, the reason for all of this explaining is because what I did notice was all of the “cystic Acne” this week were exactly located on my face where the Sinus infection was…
1. Acne above each eyebrow
2. Acne on each side of nose
3. Acne on each cheeck
4. Acne On chin
This clearly indicated to me that since the antibiotic is curing the cystic acne that my cystic acne is related to the sinuses. Now with that new revelation I will go to my dermatologist to tell him what I have found out and see what he had to say. My guess is that the stronger antibiotic will cure me!
Thank you for any question, comments you have.

Stress definitely takes its toll on our bodies, and causes all kinds of weird symptoms. The hectic lifestyles people lead these days, running from one activity to another without respite, and all the worry involved, is extremely damaging to their well-being.
Oh dear, I’m feeling for you. Meditating with the Bhrama Kumaris this year (when I manage to get out of bed in time) and they’re very big on how you think/thoughts as a basis for managing general health.
I’m an old Pharamacologist, and when I was leaving University, Stress as a lead factor, rather than a symptom of disease was beginning to be seriously discussed.
It is clear now that ill health stemming from infection has two main components; hygiene and stress.
Stress messes up your hormonal balance big time, and hormones have the giants share when it comes to immunological system.
Just make sure you finish your entire course of anti-biotics ANY time you are prescribed them!
And oh ya! Someone should interview Scott and post it! And none of those, ‘so when did you start writing’ questions. Really personal on the spot ones! I’m sure everyone would enjoy that…he’s become a friend to us all.
Wishing you all the best when you see the dermatologist. Wouldn’t it be nice if that’s the answer to your problems.
We discuss this topic frequently on SLTW ~ Stress, Meditation, Automatic Negative Thoughts, etc.
There is a mind body connection for sure.
