“Gratitude is learning to recognize and express appreciation for the benefits we have received from God and from others.”
This means constantly being on the lookout for blessings,
making each day a treasure hunt. It means being intentional about thanking
God and others for the blessings that come our way.
Overall, how would you rate being Grateful?
- I look at the world through grateful eyes and consistently express my gratitude to God and others.
- I know Ive been greatly blessed, but I don’t often stop to actually express my gratitude to God and others.
- To be honest, I had not thought a lot about gratitude; I’ve got a long way to go to develop a lifestyle of gratitude.
- I’m a complainer; I tend to focus on my problems and I frequently express them to others.

I am definitely number 2…I know that I’ve been greatly blessed but I don’t feel like I express my gratitude enough to compensate for how much I AM blessed
I think it’s good to always remind yourself to take time each day to remember the things you do have to be grateful for even in spite of difficulties you may have in your life
Such a lovely post and a great reminder in case I forget. I’m definitely a number one person. I say thank you for each little wonderful thing the world brings to me every time the thought pops into my head. Even any bad stuff is really important as a lesson so I am grateful for those moments too. M
I, too am a complainer and the habit of thanking is just not mine that’s why I’m practicing the act of gratitude in return of all the good things that I receive. I realized that life may be harsh on us some times but there are also times that we’re blessed and we have to be thankful for that.
I love the idea of a gratitude challenge… keeps us focused on the good in our lives… love it. That purples flower is also beautiul; it just glows…
By the way, how are you doing?
Elizabeth
Thanks so much Elizabeth.
