Random Rambling Sunday

Historians that have already been here and gone have left behind valuable lessons in life we all can learn from. It is important to know that in order to be admired that standing out from the crowd is what makes the difference between being valuable, remembered and different.
For example Socrates, Mother Teresa,Winston Churchill, Martin Luther King Jr., and Gandhi; all have left their mark on the world today and for years to come.Interesting enough each individual has lived their life on their own terms.
They did not fit the “norm of society” as we all know in the cultures of today.
I have a saying and it is, knowledge is power.
Life is a journey and I intend to use my knowledge to share empowering perspectives that I have learned from the generations of historians of our past centuries.
Perhaps some of you may have felt like you didn’t “fit in”, even as a young child.
This feeling often stretches into adulthood too. I know this is true for me. I like to think outside the box.
It just seems that if I always do things the same waylife become boring.
Some people like the daily grind of a routine.
They like to have a sense of control of their time and their day.
In reality they are not in control it is an illusion.
For example, I can take a different way to and from work,or to and from the store and my day seems more exciting.
I love to try new restaurants and new foods.
So, by doing the same things, we cannot expect to get different results, agreed?
So in order to get new results or better result weneed to try different approaches, different perspectives, and new beliefs about what is possible. Its like the more I think differently the better I feel and the better the results. Of course in the positive aspects of the thoughts we have notthe negative thoughts.
I wrote this on http://www.scribd.com/
and place to put your writing into and then possibly publish.

Hi Jackie,

You wanted to know how to make a signature like I have on Leeswammes
Well, in Word, I chose a font I liked, then I wrote the word leeswammes with it. Then, if I remember well, I used a little program called “Snipping Tool” that I got free with my laptop (maybe everyone with a Windows operating system has it?) and “cut out” the string of words from the page on the screen. I saved this and so it’s a picture that I use under every post (if I don’t forget as I have to add it manually).
Hope that works for you!
Enjoy your Sunday!

    Hello Jackie -

There are many ways to skin a bear, or so the saying goes. Many of us fall in to a routine in life. I used to teach and train international sales teams in America, Europe, and Asia. I told my people that if they wanted things to change in their lives, then they had to change also. This meant a change in thinking, acting rather than reacting, and the way that we do things. A comment I often heard it this: “My job doesn’t pay me enough money.” I told them that they agreed to work for XYZ dollar amount and therefore they are earning what they are worth. That’s a hard reality to grasp, yet very true. If they want to earn more money, then they needed to makes changes that align them selves to that goal. I enjoy your post.

Thank you Leeswamm… for teaching me one thing new today.
Thank you that History like Caesar/Napoleon are not like parents today.
Laurie: Thank you for the compliment and the confidence to keep writing.

I do need the daily routine, it keeps me grounded but I do like the piquant of new things interspersed with the normalcy of everyday life. I really like your reading selections. Your title is apropos, a nice rambling piece of prose.

As messed up as the last two generations are, I think just being a half way decent parent contributes more to the world than did Caesar or Napoleon.

Hey Jackie, very nice! The signature, I mean. Glad I was able to help out.

About changing habits: you know that taking a different route and changing other habits, your brain will make new connections which is a good exercise for your brain. Also, this may well lead to new creativity. Well, that’s what they say….
