Words of the Week:

Light

Understanding

Psalm 119:130

 

“The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” (NIV)

Some of us have been in the dark for some time. Many of us just don’tunderstand. This week we are praying Psalm 119:130, for God’s Word to bring us out of the dark, into the light and give us a newunderstanding. A new understanding of God. A new understandingof His Word. A new understanding of what’s going on in our lives.

 

Sunday- Read over the Week 3 Assignments. Make sure you have your supplies for the week: journal, pen, Hidden Joy book, Bible. Pray for yourself. Pray that God will guide you and give you the strength you need. Pray for Him to reveal wonderful new things to you through this week’s study, to give you understanding. If you have time, comment on the blog or Facebook page. Post your prayer requests.

Monday- Read Chapter 3, God’s Story Unfolds. Highlight important points in the chapter. Look up the Scripture verses in your Bible. Do you have any questions for Melissa? Please send in questions via email to MelissaTaylorQuestions@gmail.com. I’ll answer them on this week’s Vlog.

Monday- First Conference Call. 8 pm EST. Guests on tonight’s call, Melissa Taylor (interviewed by Radio Host, Carol Davis) and Stephanie Clayton, our Bible study professional counselor. ”Why God Why” is tonight’s message.

Tuesday- Look up the Scripture verses from Chapter 3 in your Bible. Write them in your journal. Share what has been special or important to you on my blog or the FB page. Select one verse to memorize. Post it in visible places.

Wednesday- Complete questions 1-3 in the Bible study section. p. 182 Please share #1 on the blog and FB page. How do you feel about the Bible?

Thursday- Complete questions 4-6 on p. 183. I would love to hear your answers and thoughts on # 6. If you feel comfortable, please share on the blog or FB page. Are you willing to give God a chance?

Friday- Pray the prayer on p. 184. Write your own prayer in your journal. Visit Melissa’s blog for a fun end of the week post to lighten things up.

Saturday- It’s my day of rest. What are you doing today?
