My answers:

What are you currently reading? I’m between books at the moment.

What did you recently finish reading? I just finished “Beastly” by Alex Flinn on Monday night, and it was good! Definitely recommended! A modern-day retelling of “Beauty and the Beast“.

What do you think you’ll read next? I have no idea! Funny thing is, I have review books coming, but not for a while, yet. And, I don’t have any library books here, at this time. So, I’m trying to choose from my own shelves — something I haven’t often gotten to do (thanks to reviewing). So, it’s a tough decision! I (obviously) want to read them ALL — so little time, so many books! I did get 10 new-to-me books from a used-book place, on the weekend, though — one of which was “Love the One You’re With” by Emily Giffin. So maybe that’s what I’ll read.

I loved Beastly! I’m concerned about the changes they made in the movie though…

Beastly looks to be a big favourite this week. I am mostly working on The Tinkerer’s Daughter by Jamie Sedgwick (smashwords is my vacation friend)… when I am done with that, it’s back to The Name of the Wind.

What am I currently reading?
A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin…This started out as my weekend read and I knew when I started that I wouldn’t be able to finish. People, I can’t put it down. I have to force myself to go back to The Happiness Project so that I don’t DEVOUR this book. So many people that I love to hate and hate to love. There was one point where I had to stop reading because I was SO upset (seriously, took an overnight break), but I knew that I had to keep reading.

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin…I’m into August of Gretchen’s year of happiness. Lots of great ideas to make your own life a little happier, for instance, she recommends indulging every once in a while…so I did that tonight and got a facial. I smell so good right now!

From Beirut to Jerusalem by Thomas Friedman…still breaking, but very timely to continue reading it considering current events.
The Heroine’s Bookshelf by Erin Blakemore…I’m reading this one real slow…because I’m reading the books I haven’t read yet before I read the chapter about those heroines.

What did I recently finish?
Nothing yet…I’m reading too many books to finish any of them. It’s a problem.

What will I read next?
Beauty Queens by Libba Bray…came in to the library today, so it’s been moved to the top. So excited!
Skippy Dies by Paul Murray…I read the first few pages and I’m intrigued (but it’s a library book, which can be tricky to read when also sunbathing…I prefer to read my own books while reading around water.)
The Last Werewolf by Glen Duncan…it’s out in July and I’ve already started hearing very good things about it.
