I’ve chosen the winner for the tote bag. I wish I had enough tote bags to give away. But unfortunately, I only have the one. So since there were three to chose from, I wrote all your names down on a piece of paper.
I folded up the sheets of paper and shuffled them until I couldn’t tell which was which (to be honest, after I’d folded them up I wasn’t all too sure whose name was on which piece of paper!). Then I picked one.
When I first started to blog I really had no idea what I was doing. I decided to try out the many different types of “free” blog platforms. At first I tried Blogger.com and enjoyed it as I learned how to use it. Then I also created another personal blog on Livejournal.com. The name itself helped me to create a journal of daily things on my mind. It was easy to figure out and this was over five years ago. Three others that I have tried are Blog.com, InsaneJournal.com, and My favorite WordPress.com. I have more than one personal blog now on WordPress as it’s my favorite to use and easy now that WordPress.tv was created. The videos have helped me to learn the many features inside the WordPress.com blog. Included on the page where you first set up your appearance is a Dashboard. This is where the blogger can go to set up their blog in a personal way fit to their personality. Below the Dashboard:

Each one of these mentioned above has a “function” that is really neat. The first thing I did was set up the appearance where I can choose a “theme” suited for what I like. WordPress has so many wonderful “themes” to choose from and you can change them anytime you want.
Now that I have joined in the postadaychallenge2011.com I have learned so much more about blogging. I also pay for a wordpress.org site: http://getreadingnow.com which is something I am working on. I chose that title because I love to read but am need any suggestions and comments to that site? 1. Have you ever forgotten your child in a store or at school? Not a chance.
2. Where did you go on your very first date? (Like…first first, not first with your spouse or current significant other!) I met him at my barber shop.
3. What’s your “silly” fear? (We’re not talking water and heights.) I fear thunderstorms and tornado’s. I hate worms, centipedes.
4. Confrontation: do you cause it, deal with is as it comes, or run far far away? “A spade is a spade.”
5. Wood floors or carpet? Hard wood Floors, because I can decorate with cool carpet pieces.

”It’s been said that I collect experiences. That’s because I love to try something new, to travel, to create, to learn, and in general to run amuck. I’m one of those people who get more organized and efficient the busier they get and that leads me to like to take on lots of “projects”. I have to say that I, Jackie Paulson tend to be exactly this same way! I do well under pressure.

My guess is that many are off on President’s Day. I am not going to be off work. My sister is off and their family is going to go look for a new car. Their son just got his drivers license and they need to get him a car of his own. On top of that the “sales” for the day will be quit plentiful. What I wonder is what President Obama is doing on His Day off?! !
